Fishing Gear Protection: Comparing the Durability of FGM Materials in the Andaman Sea, Thailand
This study compares the durability of three materials used for fishing gear marking (FGM) – stainless steel, colored acrylic, and plastic tape. The experiments were conducted in the Andaman Sea off Phang Nga Province, Thailand. The results aim to support the development of FGM practices to address abandoned, lost, or discarded fishing gear (ALDFG) and promote responsible fisheries.
